Kahkewistahaw First Nation

Overview

The Kahkewistahaw Health Center is located at the southern boundaries of Kahkewistahaw's main reserve along Highway 201. We provide various physical and mental health services to our members including mental health therapy, home care, dental services, alcohol and drug workshops, as well as additional services including social assistance, and justice.

The Kahkewistahaw Health and Social Development Portfolio is presently being held by Mike Bob. The Justice Portfolio is held by Josephine Kay.

Some of the programs have a committee, others fall within or under one of the committees. The main committees are Health, Social Development, Justice, YTC Safe Haven, as well as the Home and Community Care Progam. The portfolio councillor is usually the chairperson of the committees.

Ongoing Events
Alcoholics Anonymous Come and join Alcoholics Anonymous meetings held every Wednesday night from 5pm to 7pm at the Health Center Talk to Debbie Isaac, the AA Meetings Coordinator for more information.	Mental Health Kiran Kashyup, Therapist, is here on Wednesdays. If you would like to set up an appointment with her, please call the health clinic anytime.
Dental Services Curtis Grywacheski, the dentist, will be resuming his regular schedule, which is approximately twice a month. His next scheduled visits are available at the health center. If you would like to book an appointment with him, please speak to our receptionist @ 696-2660.
